Americans United for Separation of Church and State
Jimmy has played mandolin with me on and off over the past 9 years. Check out his beautifully edgy alt-country solo work.
Amazingly talented singer/songwriter and brilliant guitar player too.
One of my favorite writers and singers. You must hear Kris.
Deb Talan and Steve Tannen. I really love this band.

CATIE AND LIZ'S "IT GETS BETTER" VIDEO
Ralph was the personal photographer to the Clintons in the 90's. Aside from his corporate work, he is a wonderful wedding photographer. He shot the wedding I officiated that was featured in the Washington Post.
Owner/editor Lydia Hutchinson tried to walk away from the magazine a few years ago by ending the print version, but the ideas kept coming. This has always been my favorite music magazine. Go Lydia!
I only use Mooradian soft cases for my guitars. Great company, great product.
I use this pickup in my Martin. Extremely well balanced and reliable.
Catie uses only Elixir Strings. They sound great, and they continue to sound great. Even after many weeks on the road, they will not sound "dead" the way most strings do after a couple of gigs.

I love this organization!
Here's what their website says:
"Our mission is to empower the poorest, at-risk children of families working in the community of the Guatemala City garbage dump, by creating opportunities and fostering dignity through the power of education. We share the vision that within a safe and caring environment, every child participates in an integrated program that fosters optimism, good health, educational achievement, self-esteem, and confidence. Children and parents discover that, through their own efforts, they can move beyond poverty.
Join us in our efforts to provide hope and opportunities for the Safe Passage children and their families."

Women of Means
Women of Means is a physician-run organization that sends teams of volunteer doctors and nurses into shelters in and around Boston to cut through red tape and provide free, patient-centered medical care to women and children.
Dr. Roseanna Means, founder of Women of Means, believes that society's neediest women and children deserve accessible and compassionate health care, and should not have to sacrifice scarce cash, safety, warmth and food to get basic medical help.
Felicity (WB TV show)
This show, Dawson's Creek, Chicago Hope, North Shore and Alias have used songs from Truth From Lies, A Crash Course in Roses, Catie Curtis, and Dreaming in Romance Languages.
Fantastic fiddler and singer/songwriter from Duluth MN
ASCAP audio portrait NEW Oct 2008
interview and songs
Hineini: Coming Out in a Jewish High School
A documentary about one student's commitment to spiritual and personal authenticity, and the way she gently challenges the community around her. "Rope Swings and Avalanches" is in the soundtrack. This is an incredible film.
Shubb partial capo
I use the Shubb partial capo on the 7th fret (covering the 5, 4 and 3rd strings) as well as a full capo at the 5th fret for the song "Strange," from Long Night Moon. I am lost without the partial capo on this song! I also use it to inspire ideas, like I would use open tunings.
Since they broadcast a version of "Lo How a Rose Er'e Blooming," recorded by me, Jennifer Kimball, Kris Delmhorst and Jimmy Ryan, this has become one of my favorite TV shows. Yes, I admit it.
1998 release starring Harvey Keitel
Our Lips Are Sealed
The Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen flick that earned me some 10 year old fans.
G 7th Performance Capo
This is a VERY cool capo!
A Slipping Down Life
Starring Guy Pearce and Lili Taylor
I gotta say, this movie is pretty bad.
The coolest moment for me is when Guy Pearce himself sings "Start Again," from "A Crash Course in Roses"
You gotta see Laura perform live. The duo with Jen Todd is fabulous. Also check out Laura's compelling autobiography, "I Ain't Got No Easter Clothes," published by Hyperion Books.
Photographer for Stretch Limousine on Fire and Sweet Life CD artwork and press photos. I love his work. Check out his site. He has done a lot of high profile stuff (Taylor Swift, etc) and at the same time he appreciates working with indie artists.
Tony Baker (aka Joseph Anthony Baker)
WMVY live radio (archives)
Check out Catie's interview on WMVY, from last fall. Lots of other artists to listen to as well (plus WMVY is a kickin' station!)
Three of Hearts
A tri-ogamous love story. The songs Radical and World Don't Owe Me Nothing are featured in this compelling documentary.
Ry Cavenaugh and others. They put out my absolute favorite family (great for kids and adults) record called "Tabletop People"
Xena in Radical Video
This is an unauthorized video but I think it's hilarious!
They make great guitar pickups and pre-amps. Along with their Rare Earth pickup I've used their AURA sound imaging system to enhance my acoustic guitar sound.
Also, Joe Barbieri at Fishman made me a custom "thumper," a piece of wood with a bass pick-up in it which I use to get a foot-tapping or kick drum sound.
Faith Soloway and Smell My Productions
Comic writer, musician and performer who penned Miss Folk America, Jesus Has Two Mommies, and the F-Word. Faith has tapped my acting skills oh so deeply.
K&K Sound Pure Western Pickup
I just put this pickup system in my vintage Gibson.
Sounds just like a guitar-- amazing.
1948 Gibson LG-2
This is one of my two stage guitars. I just bought it in the fall of 2005. The vintage ones are hard to find, but I got mine at McKenzie River Music in Eugene, OR.
This is my other stage guitar, which I've been playing and writing with for a couple years now.
Your jaw will drop when you hear Jimmy Ryan play the mandolin.
a great little tremolo pedal
Digitech JamMan Looper
For when I loop guitar and vocals live, usually a little bit in every show. It's reasonably priced and easy to use.
"Long Night Moon by Catie Curtis
She is everything I love about folk music: intelligent lyrics, lovely and interesting melodies, professional musicianship, and a great soothing, comfortable voice."
Produced Stretch Limousine on Fire and Long Night Moon.
An amazing producer, he also has a home studio, and is a first class drummer and multi-intrumentalist.
